Stanley Morgan Jr. has been one of the lone bright spots for Nebraska in what has been a disappointing season. In the season finale against Iowa, the receiver flashed some brilliance early.

After a botched punt by the Hawkeyes gave the Huskers’ tremendous field position early in the first quarter, quarterback Tanner Lee fired a pass 14 yards to Morgan into the end zone. With the ball just out of reach and trying to sprint past a defender, Morgan stuck his paw into the air and hauled in the pass for the first touchdown o the game.

It was Morgan’s ninth touchdown reception of the season.

Morgan is chasing history in the season finale, trying to become Nebraska’s all-time leader for receiving yards in a single season. He’s also on the verge of 1,000 receiving yards, something that’s never been accomplished by a Husker.

After that reception, Morgan had less than 75 yards to the 1,000-yard mark.
