WATCH: Tanner Lee throws pick-six on Nebraska’s first possession

This was not an ideal start for Nebraska.
The first drive was going well for the Huskers, moving the ball 65 yards on six plays and getting into scoring position early in the game. And then it took a turn. Quarterback Tanner Lee was intercepted by Northern Illinois’ Shawun Lurry and returned 87 yards for a touchdown.

It gave the Huskies a 7-0 lead early in Lincoln.
The interception was Lee’s fifth of the season.
