Texas Tech strength and conditioning coach Rusty Whitt may start teaching players proper tackling form.
During the Red Raiders matchup with Oklahoma on Saturday, a fan thought it would be a good idea to sprint onto the field, disrupting game action. Unamused by the stunt, Whitt ran off the sideline and slammed the fan to the ground, where a Texas Ranger then escorted him off the field.
Whitt showed impeccable tackling form on the takedown.

Once he got him back to the sideline, Whitt threw the fan to the ground. That might be the best hit in the Big XII this season.
Whitt has been the strength and conditioning coach at Texas Tech since 2016. During his collegiate days, he played safety for Abilene Christian.
The 47-year-old proved he’s still got some juice. If the Red Raiders are ever in an emergency defensively, they might try to suit up Whitt.
