WATCH: Things got awkward on the GameDay set after Desmond Howard’s oddly vulgar comment (NSFW)

ESPN probably isn’t going to be too happy with Desmond Howard after the Week 0 College GameDay show. The seasoned veteran had a slip up on national television.

Howard used an oddly vulgar statement during one of the segments on the popular pregame show. And it the Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to boot.

During a segment, Howard uttered the phrase “Is Desmond Howard gonna have to choke a (expletive).” That comment received awkward laughter from Rece Davis, and it was oddly quiet on the set after that.

ESPN likes to run a smooth and clean operation, so we’ll likely see Howard issue an apology sometime after the show. And slip-ups happen now and then, and Howard hasn’t had many issues on air before.

Still, it was an awkward moment and a strange statement from Howard. We’ll see what the ESPN response will be.
