WATCH: This hurdle by TJ Hockenson proves he is not a normal TE

Iowa may have the best tight end group in the country.
One of the members of that group is TJ Hockenson. Not only is Hockenson one of the big weapons for Iowa’s offense, he is among the most versatile players in the B1G. His ability to serve in the blocking game while also catching passes downfield makes him a tough matchup for defenders.
On this play, Hockenson showed off his ability in the passing game. He ran a nice route to the sideline and hauled in a pass with room to run. Two Northwestern defenders appeared to have Hockenson’s path cut off, but that did not slow him down.
Hockenson showed off impressive hops by going up-and-over a defender with a hurdle down the sideline. The play went for a big gain and proved yet again that he can do virtually anything with the offense.
Iowa on BTN shared the video of his hurdle:
Why go out of bounds when you can hurdle someone?
