Trace McSorley owns another Penn State record.
The Nittany Lions quarterback scored on a 20-yard scamper against Rutgers after faking a handoff to Saquon Barkley. He had to show off a few nifty moves with his feet to reach the end zone, but McSorley was able to slice up the Scarlet Knights for Penn State’s first score of the game.
Not only did that touchdown give the Lions a 7-6 advantage in the second quarter, it was also the 66th total touchdown of McSorley’s career, which makes him Penn State’s all time leader in that statistical category.
Here’s the record-breaking touchdown run:

It was McSorley’s ninth rushing touchdown of the season and his 28th total touchdown. He’s also rushed for 305 yards on the year.
McSorley has had a tremendous career in Happy Valley and he’ll likely break a few more records before his time is done.
