What an ending to a spectacular season for Minnesota wide receiver Tyler Johnson.

In the first half of the Quick Lane Bowl against Georgia Tech, Johnson became Minnesota’s program leader in single-season receiving yards, surpassing a mark set by Ron Johnson. And in the second half, he set another school record, this time for touchdown catches in a single year.

Johnson made a tremendous read on a fourth quarter pass, hauling in the football and crossing the goal line for his second touchdown reception of the game. It was his 12th of the year, passing Ron Johnson and Omar Douglas.

Johnson finished the day with four catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns. His effort helped Minnesota post a 34-10 win over Georgia Tech. The receiver finished the year with 1,166 yards.

Minnesota finished the season 7-6 and winners of three of their final four games.
