Urban Meyer opened his post-game press conference with one word: “Wow.”

That word really does sum up Ohio State’s 39-38 comeback win over Penn State on Saturday afternoon. After trailing 21-3 early in the game and down 35-20 entering the fourth quarter, it didn’t look like the Buckeyes had much of a chance to get revenge on the Nittany Lions or get back in the College Football Playoff picture.

But J.T. Barrett’s incredible fourth quarter performance and some strong defensive effort helped propel Ohio State to the victory. Following the game, Meyer had some pretty high-praise for his team and his quarterback.

“That was one of the best fourth quarters I’ve witnessed in my coaching career,” Meyer said of the comeback win.

Ohio State outscored Penn State 19-3 in the final quarter and found the end zone twice in the final five minutes against the best scoring defense in the nation.

Meyer also had a huge compliment for his senior quarterback.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever had more respect for a human being or a person,” Meyer said of Barrett.

Barrett was 13-of-13 for 170 yards and three touchdowns in the final quarter on Saturday. He ended the day completing 33-0f-39 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns. It was one of the top performances of his career.

There were plenty of other things Meyer had to say about Ohio State’s victory over the Nittany Lions on Saturday evening:
