Talk about a huge play.

With Ohio State leading 7-0 in the first quarter with the football, the Buckeyes were hoping to put together a long drive and build an early two-possession lead in Indianapolis. But the Wisconsin defense shut that down, as Andrew Van Ginkel came up with an important interception.

Backed up in his own territory, Barrett made an ill-advised decision and Van Ginkel was able to take advantage, making the interception and returning it to the end zone for the score. The play tied the game at 7-7 in the first quarter.

The interception was the eighth thrown by Barrett this season. It was the first pick for Van Ginkel.

It couldn’t have come at a better time for the Badger defender.
