Penn State is once again the national champion.
The Nittany Lions clinched its eighth national title in nine years on Saturday, earning the 2019 crown in the medal round of the NCAA Championship. They mathematically eliminated second-place Ohio State in the morning.
Penn State edged out Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Iowa and Michigan.

Along with the team title, five Penn State wrestlers will have a chance to claim an individual crown later Saturday night. Those five individuals are:
- 157: Jason Nolf
- 165: Vincenzo Joseph
- 174: Mark Hall
- 197: Bo Nickal
- 285: Anthony Cassar
Penn State has now claimed nine NCAA wrestling team titles all-time.
