Week 10 had its share of wild games, perhaps none more so than an AAC matchup between Houston and SMU.

The rivals combined for an insane 140 total points, and the game did not even need overtime. The game set the record for the highest-scoring regulation game in FBS history.

The game surpassed the epic 2016 matchup between Pittsburgh and Syracuse that ended with a score of 76-61. The only game that had more total points than the Week 10 matchup is the 2018 LSU-TAMU game that went to 7 OTs.

That 2018 match ended with the Aggies winning 74-72. The game was a deciding factor in the NCAA changing the OT rules to avoid a game like that taking place again. Now after the 2nd OT, teams compete in a 2-point shootout.
