If you were hoping for any massive upsets to throw a wrench into the College Football Playoff picture this weekend, you were sadly disappointed.
While there were a handful of upsets this weekend, the teams at the top all took care of business. Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Ohio State, the teams currently locked into the four Playoff spots, all added a victory to their records over the weekend, most of those in blowout fashion.
Success over the weekend is creating a not-so-thrilling countdown to the College Football Playoff final rankings, set to be released later this month. Who would’ve thought that, in 2020 of all years, this would be the least drama-filled selection show in the six-year history?
