Illinois took the field in front of fans for the first time under new head coach Bret Bielema on Monday night, as the program embarks on a new era. There was certainly something to like from the team’s annual spring game.

The first team offense and defense dominated the game from start to finish, controlling the line of scrimmage, making big plays through the air and showing the ability to pick up chunks of yardage on the ground. Quarterback Brandon Peters looked sharp and the receiver room stood out.
