Indiana’s spring practice is underway with the Hoosiers looking to build off strong winning years in back-to-back seasons.
Last year, the Hoosiers finished with a 6-2 record, with the only losses coming to B1G champion Ohio State and bowl opponent Ole Miss to close out the year. Indiana ended long losing streaks to Michigan and Wisconsin and snapped an ugly drought against Top 10 foes with a season-opening victory over No. 8 Penn State.
Tom Allen now enters his fifth season as the head coach in Bloomington and is looking to sustain the momentum the program has built the last two years. Having a full spring with an experienced group should be a huge benefit for the Hoosiers entering the 2021 season.
On Monday, Allen met with reporters to talk about the start to spring practice in Bloomington. Here’s what the head coach had to say while meeting with the media:
IU football coach Tom Allen starts his Monday presser by wishing the women's basketball program luck in today's NCAA tourney game.
"Coach Moren has done a great job and I'm excited for their opportunity in the NCAA tournament. Pulling for them." #iufb

Tom Allen saying the return of Raheem Layne from injury, playing the safety position, has been big.
"He's come in at that free safety position .. he's a little over-aggressive at times, and he gives up some things from that. But a smart player, high care factor … " #iufb
