https://twitter.com/umgoblog/status/1332792711930376192?s=21After needing triple overtime to beat Rutgers a week ago, Michigan football fell flat in what must now be considered rock-bottom for Jim Harbaugh. Saturday’s loss to previously winless Penn State a new low for a program and a season that appears headed in the wrong direction.
Penn State beat Michigan 27-17 in yet another lackluster performance from the Wolverines as the program has apparently tuned out its head coach.
With the win, Penn State improves to 1-5. Michigan is now 2-4, a fall from grace for a program that entered the year in the preseason polls.
Now in his sixth season at Michigan, Harbaugh is 49-22 with his alma mater. This coupled with their 1-4 bowl record under Harbaugh and the lack of an outright Big Ten title are all causes for major concerns in Ann Arbor.
Here is what Harbaugh had to say following his team’s loss:
Jim Harbaugh — on the frustration of the season — "I want to win, I hate losing. We'll respond by pressing on…it's our only choice.' #GoBlue

Jim Harbaugh — How did Cade McNamara injury impact playcalling — "Gritty kid…shoulder did tighten up as the game went on…the guys were fighting…guys were battling but in critical situations we couldn't get stops and keep drive going." #GoBlue

Jim Harbaugh — what needs to change after your evaluations — "We need to get guys in the right positions to be successful." #GoBlue

Jim Harbaugh says Cade McNamara's shoulder tightened up on the last drive, thus the switch to Joe Milton. "It was a gritty performance by (McNamara). That's a tough kid."

Jim Harbaugh — how do you improve the tackling — "We are tackling to high and leaving our feet too early…" #GoBlue
