What Juwan Howard said following Michigan’s loss to UCLA in the Elite Eight

Michigan had its opportunities to advance to the Final Four on Tuesday night, but missed shots and turnovers proved too costly for the Wolverines. The team’s run ended in the Elite Eight with a 51-49 loss to UCLA.

In the final 20 seconds of the game, Michigan had four opportunities to take the lead or win the game, but all four attempts were off the mark. Juwan Howard’s bunch was the last B1G team left standing and came up one win short of reaching the pinnacle of college basketball.

Tuesday’s loss was a tough pill to swallow, but it was still a miraculous run in the tournament for the Wolverines. They came up one basket short of playing in the Final Four, despite being without second-leading scorer and 3-point threat Isaiah Livers. U-M posted wins over Texas Southern, LSU and Florida State before falling Tuesday night.
