It’s been over three months since the college football season ended for Iowa, but the Hawkeyes are ready to begin preparing for the upcoming 2021 campaign.
Monday, head coach Kirk Ferentz met with reporters to discuss the spring schedule. Iowa is coming off a 6-2 year in 2020 and a 10-3 season in 2019. Unfortunately, neither of those big years resulted in a B1G West title.
That’s the goal in Iowa City entering the 2021 season.
Ferentz discussed expectations for the upcoming season, what he hopes to see during spring practice, particular position battles and the possibility of welcoming fans back to Kinnick Stadium for spring practice sand the fall season.
Here’s what the 23-year leader of the Hawkeyes had to say on Monday:
KF: "Spencer operates like you want a quarterback to. He has a wonderful opportunity to take the next step this spring." #Hawkeyes
