Michigan State was able to get back in the column on Saturday, defeating Indiana 35-21 in Bloomington. The Spartans improved to 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in B1G play with the victory.
On Tuesday, Mark Dantonio met with the media for his weekly press conference. He spoke about MSU’s conference-opening win, provided injury updates and talked about Saturday’s game against Central Michigan.
Here’s what Dantonio had to say on Tuesday morning:
Dantonio asked about offensive predictability vs. ASU/Indiana: "We're looking at every different aspect to try and give a variance of things." Also asks "what do we know and what do we do well?"

Dantonio says TEs are involved in passing game. "There's different reads you go through … sometimes he's in protection." Depends on play call and scheme.

Dantonio on facing CMU, going from Big Ten play back to non-conference: "We'll come ready to play. We havent' had that issue. Now are we perfect? No, few across the country are."

Dantonio on pass defense numbers being high vs. run defense being No. 1 nationally: "They're not getting a lot of big plays." Teams are using RPOs "and dinking it" to pass the ball underneath. Thinks MSU's DBs are playing well on the perimeter.

Dantonio asked if LJ Scott is day-to-day or if he'll be back. "Probably a little of both."
