With fall camp in the books and the season-opener with West Virginia just a few days away, Maryland head coach Mike Locksley has plenty of experience on the field to start the 2021 campaign.
Locksley returns 86% of his lettermen on the offensive side, and has 10 of 11 defensive starters back. Without a winning conference record since leaving the ACC, Locksley and the Terps are looking to finally get more action in the win column.
2019 was his first season at the helm of the Maryland program, and with 2020 a blur due to the pandemic, this fall’s return of fans to the stands and the experienced crew Locksley has to work with, he expects the Terps to rise in the B1G East standings.
While talking to the press Tuesday, Locksley talked about the fans coming back, revealed the team captains and discussed where the program is now that he’s in Year 3.
Here’s what he had to say.
