The Nebraska Cornhuskers gave the No. 20 Michigan State a tougher fight than they anticipated at home. On Saturday, Nebraska led 20-13 late in the fourth quarter until Jaylen Reed returned a 62-yard punt return for a Spartans touchdown. This eventually forced the game into overtime, where Michigan State kicker kicked a 21-yard field goal to seal the game for the Spartans 23-20 in overtime.
This game had the makings of an upset from Nebraska. Michigan State was outgained by Nebraska in total yards accounted for 442-to-254 and first downs accounted for 26-to-12. The biggest difference is Michigan State’s ability to respond with a potential comeback.

After the game, Tucker was enthusiastic about his team’s willingness to continue to fight and win the game over Nebraska. Tucker had this to say about his team’s composure and will to not lose by saying, “oftentimes when you see good teams, they have win games like this. They find a way.”
