It really seems like Scott Frost has been on a wild roller coaster ride since taking over the role of Nebraska head coach.
Though there haven’t been very many highs, the Husker coach got one of those highs as his team went into West Lafayette and bested Purdue for their second win of the season.
On Monday, Frost met with the media to discuss a matter of things. Though there wasn’t a lot to report, we received an injury update on Myles Farmer, who suffered a serious leg injury in pregame warmups on Saturday.
Frost said Myles Farmer had season ending surgery, but the long-term outlook is good.

Another player dealing with health issues is junior wide receiver Omar Manning. Frost did not give us a concrete answer on his status for the rest of the season.
Frost said he couldn't say for sure if Omar Manning will pop up on the field before 2020 ends. "We've just got to get him healthy, and he's going to make us a better team when he's out there."

Speaking of wide receivers, Frost discussed his new strategy with the Husker wide receiver corps.
Frost says, in the last two weeks, Nebraska decided it was doing a "disservice" to its WR room by spreading out the reps too much.
So, with a bunch of close guys, they narrowed the number of players playing.
You already know they've settled on walk-ons, Robinson and Betts.

Looking ahead, there seems to be some uncertainty about the Big Ten games that will be played on Dec. 19 outside of the Big Ten Championship Game. At this point, Frost seems focused on Saturday’s opponent: Minnesota.
"Count me in the group that doesn't know much," Frost said of how that Big Ten plan for Dec. 19 games might look. Added that he's dialed in on this week's game.

Next week, players will begin to sign national letters of intent with the early signing period. That could mean some recruits enrolling and heading to Lincoln in January, which Frost believes is the right call despite the pandemic.
Scott Frost is comfortable with new recruits enrolling early next semester if they want. Thinks NU is the safest place, etc.

Nebraska coach Scott Frost said he's OK with many of the recruits who sign next week sticking with their plans to enroll in January, despite the realities of starting college amidst a pandemic in winter. "I really, like I've said before, think this is the safest place for them."

Here’s what else Frost had to say.
Frost said Zavier Betts practices hard and doesn't even know how good he can be. "It doesn't look like he's running sometimes, but he's running fast."
Always learning. Betts got himself in the wrong spot when they called PI on Purdue in the 4th. Ended up where Wan'Dale was.
