Northwestern has done it.
The Wildcats may only be 6-4 overall, but they are also 6-1 in the Big Ten. That’s a good record, of course.
It’s also good enough to clinch the Big Ten West division and a spot in the Big Ten Championship game. That’s exactly what Northwestern accomplished once it defeated Iowa 14-10 on Saturday.
Defenses certainly played their roles in this game, as the 24 total points would indicate. Offensively, Northwestern RB Isaiah Bowser ran it 31 times for 165 yards and a score. There’s no question that the game ran through him.
After the B1G win, Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald spoke with the media:

"We were able to find creases. I thought we mixed some things up pretty well. Obviously, IB was just a work horse."
