Purdue coach Jeff Brohm had a lot of updates to provide on himself and his program following the Boilermakers’ upset victory over Iowa in Week 1.
Concerning his COVID-19 diagnosis, Brohm said he hopes to be cleared to return to the facility by Wednesday and plans to coach Purdue’s Week 2 game vs. Illinois.

Because he wasn’t able to be on the sidelines over the weekend, Brohm said he watched the game at his home but sent his family to the stadium. As you might expect, the family dog was uncomfortable with this set up.

On the Rondale Moore front, Brohm didn’t reveal much. The Purdue star WR missed last week’s game due to an undisclosed reason, and Brohm didn’t shed any light on whether or not he would be back this week.
“Whenever he’s ready to play, he’ll play,” Brohm said.
Brohm "always hopeful" when asked if Rondale Moore would play Saturday. "Whenever he is ready to play, he will play."

Brohm said he was impressed with receiver Milton Wright in the season-opener. Wright caught seven passes for 85 yards and gave the Hawkeye defense a legitimate threat to deal with other than David Bell.
