Head coach Scott Frost got his biggest win in his four years with Nebraska as the Huskers dominated Northwestern at home 56-7. This win was also the biggest in a B1G game for Nebraska.

They started the game with three touchdowns in their first three drives with all of them coming from rushing touchdowns from dual-threat quarterback Adrian Martinez. Nebraska outgained Northwestern in total yards 657-to-256, and first downs accounted for 28-to-17.

This was the most complete game for Nebraska on both sides of the ball. They didn’t turn the ball over, and they were highly efficient in the RPO-schemes led by Martinez. Nebraska’s defense held Northwestern to only 37 rushing yards on 26 carries for an average of 1.4 yards per carry.

While Nebraska (3-3) isn’t going to contend for a B1G title, they are one step to potentially going to their first post-season bowl game for the first time since 2016. If Nebraska gets to a bowl season, it would be a huge step in the right direction for Frost’s Cornhuskers.
