What the Duck: Ohio State trolled with surprise duckie following upset loss to Oregon

We’ve seen college football teams leave their marks at opposing teams’ stadiums. Ohio State fans surely remember when Baker Mayfield planted the Oklahoma flag at midfield.

Well, Oregon left a reminder of its upset victory over the Buckeyes in the middle of the logo on the 50-yard line. It was more subdued than Mayfield’s celebration, and you have to look pretty close to see it.

You guessed it. Someone left a little rubber duck on the turf at the Horseshoe.

Incredible.

No. 12 Oregon, which was a 14.5-point underdog against No. 3 Ohio State, upset the Buckeyes 35-28 Saturday afternoon. The Ducks pulled off the upset of the year (so far) without their best player, Kayvon Thibodeaux, who’s out with an ankle injury.

The victory is sure to throw a wrench into the College Football Playoff picture as the season goes on. It’ll also be interesting to see what Ohio State does with its new rubber duck.
