It’s pretty darn good to be Tom Allen right now.
He’s leading an Indiana program that’s quickly rising up the ranks and slowly becoming the Big Ten’s story of the year. That continued on Saturday as the Hoosiers went into Rutgers and came away with a 37-21 win.
Following his team’s victory and ahead of next week’s big showdown against Michigan, Allen spoke with the media.
Allen again talking about IU's rising status: "We expected to start doing things like this." Says Hoosiers need to stay focused and live in the moment as expectations grow. #iufb

Tom Allen laughing about the lateral play: "When one of the officials told me, 'Coach, we think one of the laterals was a forward pass,' I was like, 'Thank you, Jesus.'" #iufb

Tom Allen says he's never seen anything like Rutgers' laterals and almost touchdown in-person but he saw it happen to Ole Miss and Arkansas.
"It's not a very good feeling when it's happening to you."
When it was called back, he said, "Thank you, Jesus." #iufb

The Hoosiers’ hype level will continue to grow as the season goes along and if they continue to win games. A win next week against the Wolverines will really have people talking about Indiana.
