The decision on Urban Meyer’s future at Ohio State is still yet to be decided, but the potential reasoning for the delay may come down to a difference in opinion between the head coach and the president of the university.

According to Dave Biddle of Bucknuts, Ohio State University President Michael Drake is pushing for Meyer to be suspended for an undisclosed amount of time. However, Biddle is also reporting that Meyer is pushing back and refuses to serve a suspension.

The Ohio State Board of Trustees is wanting to reinstate Meyer immediately, according to the report.

The decision on Meyer’s future was expected to be known sometime Wednesday, however, there have been reports saying that a decision is not guaranteed by the end of the day.

Meyer has been on paid administrative leave while an independent working group investigated his alleged knowledge of Zach Smith’s history of domestic violence.

The investigation concluded over the weekend.
