If Penn State fans are looking for anything positive, they can at least hang their hopes on the current ESPN FPI predictions for the remainder of the season.

While next week’s contest with Iowa doesn’t project well, the remaining games with Michigan, Rutgers, and Michigan State all favor the Nittany Lions.

Penn State has had a miserable start, dropping the first four games, that started with a heartbreaking overtime loss to Indiana in dramatic, and controversial fashion. Losses to Ohio State and Maryland followed, culminating with a tough loss to Nebraska last weekend.

Even so, ESPN’s FPI is predicting the Nittany Lions will be close to evenly matched against Iowa this Saturday, but should have the advantage the rest of the way.

  • Sat, Nov 21 vs Iowa  – 44.4% chance of victory
  • Sat, Nov 28 @Michigan –  62.8% chance of victory
  • Sat, Dec 5 @Rutgers – 77.5% chance of victory
  • Sat, Dec 12 vs Michigan State – 89.5% chance of victory
