Urban Meyer’s first offseason as an NFL head coach has come with a bump in the road. It’ll cost him six figures in fines, too.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Jacksonville Jaguars have been fined $200,000 by the league for violating OTA rules. Meyer was also fined $100,000. The rules that were broken were not specified.

Three teams were fined for violating OTA rules, though Jacksonville’s was the steepest. The San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys were fine $100,000 while head coaches Kyle Shanahan and Mike McCarthy were fined $50,000 by the league.

Though Meyer has had a long and successful career coaching at the college level, this will be his first year in the NFL. He took over a franchise that finished last season with a 1-15 record.

Jacksonville selected Clemson star Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
