Wendy Anderson, the wife of Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson, has died after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Blake tweeted out a message early Tuesday morning.
Her death comes less than a day after Blake decided to take a leave of absence from Arkansas State to support his wife. Wendy was 49 at the time of her death.
“My beautiful girl has gone home to be with Jesus,” Anderson wrote. “No more pain, no more suffering and praise Him no more cancer. She passed as peacefully & gracefully as you could ever hope. … I have been so blessed to have her by my side each day for the past 27 years.”
