It appears that Wisconsin will have its third defensive coordinator in three years in 2017.
Badger defensive coordinator reportedly interviewed and was one of the top candidates to take over at Cal.
According to Bruce Feldman, the two parties are negotiating a deal to make it official:

Wilcox came from USC and has several Pac-12 ties. Besides coaching the linebackers at Cal, he was also the defensive coordinator at Washington.
That’d be a big loss for the Badgers, who had a stellar defensive year after the departure of Dave Aranda.
Wisconsin’s fourth-ranked scoring defense fueled the Badgers to an 11-win season, as well as a Cotton Bowl victory against Western Michigan.
The Badgers have yet to confirm Feldman’s report.
