Games between Nebraska and Oregon and Minnesota and Oregon State could be altered due to wildfires in the Pacific Northwest.

The wildfires are threatening the air quality in that area in the country and officials from Oregon, Oregon State and the Pac-12 are already taking steps to keep players and fans safe on Saturday.

Chicago Tribune’s Teddy Greenstein obtained a news release from Pac-12 officials that stated that Oregon and Oregon State are “working closely with the relevant regional air protection agency, the Pac-12, and their own medical personnel to monitor and assess the air quality situation … A decision will be made on whether to adjust game times and/or dates with the safety of student-athletes and fans as a priority.”

The Nebraska-Oregon game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. ET start while Minnesota-Oregon State is set to kick at 10:00 p.m. ET. This will be something to keep an eye on throughout the week.
