Will Compton, a former Nebraska and NFL linebacker who now hosts a podcast with Barstool Sports, is officially retiring from the league.
Compton released an on-brand (and pretty NSFW) video announcing his decision.
“After 9, arguably 10, years in the NFL – I am officially retiring,” he tweeted. “I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am for this game and the people who have been on this journey with me.”

These days, Compton’s probably known more for his podcast, “Bussin’ with the Boys”, which he hosts with offensive lineman Taylor Lewan. Before that, though, he was a starting linebacker at Nebraska and a former team captain. As a senior, he made 110 tackles and recorded 3.0 sacks along with an interception.
An undrafted free agent, he played 5 seasons with the then-Washington Redskins, followed by stints with the Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, and Las Vegas Raiders. For his career, he totaled 358 tackles. He enjoyed most of his success in 2015 2016 with Washington, making 96 and 106 tackles.
While Compton’s mention of “Canton, OH” is tongue-in-cheek, he’ll certainly have his podcast with Lewan to keep him busy.
