Will Johnson just provided the first big play of Saturday’s game between Michigan and Ohio State. After a string of punts to open the game, it was Johnson who stepped up with a massive takeaway late in the first quarter.
Backed up in their own territory, the Buckeyes tried to get a pass to Marvin Harrison Jr., but Johnson jumped the route. He picked off Kyle McCord and ran the interception all the way back to the 7-yard line to give the Wolverines a major spark.

The ensuing drive was far from pretty but remained effective. Michigan ran the ball 4 straight times with Blake Corum eventually scoring from inside the 1-yard line on 4th-and-goal.
Johnson’s big pick was certainly the spark, and the Wolverines have a 7-0 lead as a result.
