Wisconsin assistant basketball coach Howard Moore has been released from the hospital and will be returning to Madison, two weeks after a deadly car accident in Ann Arbor.
Jeff Potrykus of the Journal-Sentinel received a confirmation from an employee at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor that Moore has been released. He had been in the hospital since the accident, which occurred on May 25.
Moore and his family were involved in the car accident near Ann Arbor. Moore’s wife and daughter were killed in the accident. He and his son survived.
A vehicle traveling the wrong way on M-14 struck Moore’s car head-on. The driver of the vehicle traveling the wrong way was also killed in the accident.
Moore, a former member of Wisconsin’s basketball team (1990-95), has been an assistant with the Badgers since 2015. He also served on the staff in a prior stint from 2005-10.
