Wisconsin redshirt freshman cornerback Ricardo Hallman got the first interception of his collegiate career in the Week 3 game against New Mexico State. What made his first interception memorable was that he picked off New Mexico State quarterback Diego Pavia with a one-handed catch.

Hallman has accounted for 5 five total tackles and 4 solo tackles through the first two games of the 2022 season for Wisconsin. He accounted for 4 total tackles and 3 solo tackles in the 38-0 win over Illinois State.

Hallman is playing more with senior cornerback Alexander Smith out with an injury.

He was a former 3-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class where Hallman was the 53rd-rated cornerback and the 88th-best prospect from the state of Florida, according to 247Sports Composite.

Wisconsin only had a 7-0 lead over New Mexico State in the first quarter before scoring two more quick touchdowns in the second quarter.
