Wisconsin was stuck in the mud all afternoon against No. 19 Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon, when suddenly Vinny Anthony II gave the Badgers a little life.

Following Ryan Williams’s 75-yard touchdown catch from Ty Simpson that gave the Crimson Tide a 28-0 lead early in the 3rd quarter, all looked lost for Wisconsin. Then the Badgers finally got on the board when Anthony returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown to make it 28-7.

Here’s a look at the TD from Anthony:

Wisconsin was held to 4 first downs in the first half on Saturday, so the Badgers literally had nothing going offensively or otherwise until the senior wide receiver from Louisville got something big done on special teams.

Anthony didn’t have any catches yet on Saturday, but he sure did give Wisconsin something substantial to hang its hat on as the Badgers unsuccessfully tried to keep up with Bama’s Simpson-led offense.
