Wisconsin added a transfer commitment to its ranks on Friday. The Badgers picked up the commitment from a former ACC DB.

Jason Maitre spent the majority of his college career with Boston College until recently. Maitre announced his commitment to Luke Fickell and Wisconsin from his social media account.

Maitre was a former 3-star DB from the 2018 recruiting class per the 247Sports Composite. Maitre played in 86 games for the Eagles and recorded 133 total tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 3 interceptions.

Wisconsin will be retooling its secondary with a veteran presence like Maitre. The Badgers are hoping that Maitre can improve the secondary after allowing 202.3 yards passing per game this season.

Unfortunately Jim Leonhard will not be able to coach Maitre as the Guaranteed Rate Bowl against Oklahoma State was the former interim HC’s last game with the team. The Badgers won 24-17 in Leonhard’s final game at the helm.
