1917.

That’s when the first Wisconsin football game was ever played inside the gates of Camp Randall Stadium. It had turned from training facility during the Civil War – and would later become a home to military personnel during the World Wars – to one of college football’s most revered cathedrals.

So, yeah, 100 years is kind of a big deal. And the Badgers are doing a lot of things to celebrate the anniversary. One of the ways Wisconsin is honoring its stadium was made public on Wednesday.

Retro-themed tickets will be used for each of the Badgers seven home games this fall, something that should be unique for younger and older fans alike. Wisconsin tweeted out a photo of what those tickets would look like:

Pretty cool, right?

Fans don’t need any extra incentives to visit the iconic stadium for a Wisconsin home game. After all, they finished the year 11-3 last year and won the B1G West. But this will be an added bonus for those who do attend, and could be a pretty nifty keepsake.

Wisconsin has home games this season against Utah State, Florida Atlantic, Northwestern, Purdue, Maryland, Iowa and Michigan.

Tickets into Camp Randall Stadium are already tough to get your hands on. These retro-themed masterpieces might be the most elusive, though.
