Wisconsin a heavy favorite vs. Maryland

Wisconsin enters another week as a heavy favorite.

Vegas has pegged the Badgers as 24-point favorites in this Saturday’s match-up against Maryland. Wisconsin is coming off a 17-9 win over Purdue while the Terrapins have suffered back-to-back losses to Ohio State and Northwestern.

Down to third-string quarterback Max Bortenschlager and a less-than-impressive run defense, Maryland is going to need a little magic in order to pull of an upset in Madison on Saturday. Jonathan Taylor, who’s been a freshman sensation for Wisconsin, will pose plenty of issues for the Terrapins.

Wisconsin is the only unbeaten remaining in the B1G West, sitting at 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. Maryland is 3-3 with a 1-2 league mark.

The Badgers lead the all-time series 2-0, with wins coming in 2014 and 2015. Saturday’s game is scheduled to kickoff at noon ET and will air on FOX.
