Wisconsin is rolling in the desert.

The Badgers started things off hot in Thursday night’s Las Vegas Bowl, scoring two early touchdowns to build a 14-3 lead. They couldn’t have asked for a much better start.

John Chenal was the first to get into the end zone for the Badgers, scoring on an 8-yard run to give Wisconsin the 7-0 advantage. It was just his second touchdown of the season on the ground.

Wisconsin scored on its next possession, as well. That was a 6-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in a 7-yard pass from Graham Mertz to Jake Ferguson to give the Badgers a 14-3 lead.

That was Mertz’s 10th touchdown toss of the 2021 campaign. For Ferguson, it was his third touchdown grab of the year.

Things are clicking early for the Badgers out in Vegas.
