The Wisconsin Badgers’ linebacker corp is getting pretty thin.
Earlier this offseason, Wisconsin announced that Jack Cichy (who was one of the best linebackers in the B1G) is out for the year due to an ACL injury. And Sunday, the Badgers announced that Zack Baun will join Cichy on the sidelines this year due to a foot injury.

Baun was expected to see a bigger role this season at outside linebacker due to the departures of T.J. Watt and Vince Biegel to the NFL and with Cichy going down to injury.
Last year, Baun played in 12 of the Badgers’ 14 games, recording 15 total tackles, making 3.5 tackles for loss and forcing one fumble.
Baun was expected to be backup behind starting outside linebackers Garrett Dooley and Leon Jacobs this season. Walk-on Tyler Johnson should move up and replace Baun in the two-deep for Wisconsin.
