Wisconsin continues to see more recruits de-commit from the 2023 recruiting class after the team announced the hiring of Luke Fickell as head coach on Sunday. 3-star defensive lineman Roderick Pierce is the latest player to decommit from Wisconsin.
Pierce is a 3-star defensive lineman from Oak Lawn, Illinois. He is the 81st rated defensive lineman and the 12th-best player from the state of Illinois, according to 247Sports Composite.
He has 22 offers to play collegiate football with 3 visits to Michigan and Wisconsin. He also has offers from Auburn, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, Syracuse, and Texas.

Wisconsin finished the 2022 regular season with an overall record of 6-6. Jim Leonhard accounted for a record of 4-3 since taking over as the interim coach of the Badgers.
3-star offensive tackle Christopher Terek decommitted from Wisconsin less than an hour after the team announced that Fickell was the head coach.
