Week 7 of the 2018 college football season ended for the B1G with a showdown between Wisconsin and Michigan.
Unfortunately for those looking for a tight, close game, that didn’t happen. The Wolverines blew out the Badgers 38-13. The game wasn’t close whatsoever.
Despite that, being on ABC in primetime may have helped the game’s overall television rating.
Michigan-Wisconsin drew a top five rating among all college football games this season:
ABC’s Saturday Night Football Wisconsin at Michigan: 6,103,000 viewers!
– Most-Viewed Sporting Event from Saturday, Oct. 13

We’ve seen some really good football games this season already, so to finish in the top five as a most-watched game when it was a blowout speaks to Michigan and Wisconsin fans respectively. The country as a whole — if not having a dog in the fight — likely would have changed the channel after a while.
But, two of the top teams in the B1G are going to draw attention.
Attention and eyeballs.
