It’s been over a decade since Wisconsin last brought a 5-star prospect to Madison, but the wait is officially over.

On Wednesday, the first day of the Early Signing Period, Logan Brown signed his Letter of Intent to join the Badgers’ 2019 recruiting class. He’s the first 5-star prospect to sign with Wisconsin since 2007, ending a 12-year drought.

The 5-star offensive tackle is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Wisconsin’s previous 5-star recruit, Josh Oglesby, was also an offensive lineman.

Wisconsin is currently working on a top 30 recruiting class nationally and ranks in the top half of the B1G. Recruiting rankings fluctuate tremendously over the next three days, so it’s hard to know where exactly the Badgers stand right now.

Brown is the No. 17 player in the 2019 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. He’s rated as the fourth-best offensive tackle and is the No. 1 player out of Michigan.

The Badgers boast one of the best offensive lines in the country on a yearly basis. That trend isn’t going to end anytime soon with Brown on the front line.
