Wisconsin could be without its starting left guard for again this weekend.

Paul Chryst said that he hopes to have Jon Dietzen back in the lineup on Saturday vs. Northwestern, though he won’t know his availability until around the start of the contest. He talked about it to the media on Thursday.

“I think he’s got a chance,” Chryst said. “He’s practiced and all that. He’s going to dress up and hopefully we’ve got him.”

Dietzen, who is recovering from a leg injury, didn’t make the trip to BYU two weeks ago.

The sophomore offensive lineman has appeared in 12 games for the Badgers and has made nine starts.

Northwestern-Wisconsin is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET and will air on ABC.
