Wisconsin earned a commitment from Clemson running back transfer Chez Mellusi on Tuesday evening.
Mellusi announced that news on Twitter:

Mellusi played mostly as a reserve for the Tigers behind All-American Travis Etienne. He put up good numbers at Clemson — 427 yards and six touchdowns on 71 carries. That’s an average of 6.0 yards per rush.
Wisconsin didn’t have a dominant lead running back last season — something the Badgers have been known for in recent years. Garrett Groshek and Jalen Berger led the team with 300 and 301 rushing yards, respectively.
Berger is back for another season, but Groshek opted to turn pro and sigsned an undrafted free agent contract with the Raiders last month. Mellusi and Berger should be an intriguing combination out of the backfield.
Mellusi is originally from Naples, Florida. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school.
Wisconsin opens the 2021 season against Penn State on Sept. 4.
