Everyone sitting inside Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday afternoon thought they were seeing Jonathan Taylor suit up in Madison for the final time. After three outstanding seasons with the Badgers, one of the nation’s top running backs is likely to pursue a future in the NFL after this year.
And, if Saturday it was his final time playing in front of a home crowd at Camp Randall Stadium, what a way to go out. Taylor totaled 222 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, leading Wisconsin to a 45-24 win over Purdue. The win got the Badgers to 9-2 on the season and in position to win the B1G West with a victory over Minnesota next weekend.
Not a bad way to close out a career.
But Taylor isn’t discussing his NFL future just yet. Naturally, after Saturday’s game, Taylor was asked if he planned to declare for the draft at the end of the season, or if he would return for his senior season at Wisconsin. Right now, the running back hasn’t made a decision, according to Evan Flood of 247Sports.
For what it's worth, Jonathan Taylor said he's not sure if that was his last game at Camp Randall. #Badgers

Taylor has totaled 5,856 yards and 47 touchdowns on the ground during his three seasons in Madison. This season, the junior running back has piled up 1,685 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also has 162 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions.
We’ll likely find out about Taylor’s future following Wisconsin’s bowl game.
