Wisconsin will be without running back Bradrick Shaw against Florida Atlantic.

Jeff Potrykus of the Journal Sentinel tweeted about 45 minutes before kickoff that the sophomore back was not in uniform and will miss the Badgers’ second game of the season.

Shaw rushed fro 84 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries last week against Utah State.

Earlier this week, Shaw was reportedly battling a leg injury but was in full pads and practicing throughout the week. It appears he won’t be able to go against FAU, or Wisconsin is being extra cautious with its primary ball-carrier.

That thrusts freshman Jonathon Taylor into the starting role. He played exceptionally well in his first game in a Badger uniform, rushing for 87 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries.
