It’s bowl season.

For many seniors across the country, this will be their final football games of their careers. Others will have the chance to play professionally. For Wisconsin senior LB Ryan Connelly, his time as a Badger has concluded.

Connelly has been battling with an injury, but had surgery, completing his time at Wisconsin. As Jeff Potrykus tweeted, he couldn’t play through the injury any longer and is anticipated to be ready to test for the NFL in the spring.

The 6-foot-3, 237-pound Badger recorded 89 tackles and 10 tackles for loss this season.

Wisconsin, 7-5, is scheduled to take on Miami (FL), 7-5, in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27.
